Food just doesn't taste good. I'm not a picky eater by any means. Just isn't tasty. Poor happy hour specials / variety. Nice interior.

Really great vibe here. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Food is incredible. The chicken and waffles are fantastic. Unique jalapeno maple syrup. Wish there was more waffle, as it had tons of chicken (not too salty either). When the server came over a bunch of items ran out (donuts, chicken and biscuits, etc -- but the people sitting next to us before and after were able to order it?). Would still come back.

My husband and I were pretty much turned away because we didn't have a reservation. We walked in a few minutes after they opened at 5PM and the restaurant was nearly empty save for a few tables and a couple people at the bar. Overall, it was a super weird experience to be told our only choice was to eat at the bar and maybe a table would open up. So we left. Perhaps their website should say that they only accept reservations, not walk ins, if that's the case and honestly, I've never been to a restaurant that wouldn't seat someone because they didn't have a reservation. Not even in NYC. I think from now on we'll be trying other places in Detroit.

Ordered the chicken cooked 2 ways. Fried and baked with a side of collard greens over a puree. The collard greens were some of the best I've had. The fried chicken was well seasoned, crispy and not over done. The baked chicken was moist and had an excellent flavor and paired perfectly with the puree.

If you love fried chicken this is the place for you. They have the best fried chicken in all of Detroit. The pickle brine that they use on it just makes everything better. I love that it is paired with a wonderful biscuit and butter. The decor is pretty neat too if you get a chance to walk around. I suggest sitting at the bar so that you can watch the drinks get made and pick out something special to drink.
