The Brighton TCF branch is by far the worst of the 4 branches I go to. If this was my main branch I would have changed banks 10 years ago. The people are rude, maybe it's a Brighton thing though.

I had an account here for about 3 years. In that time there were 5 or 6 issues with fraud, unauthorized charges and just really, spectaularly poor customer service.

Over all horrible service. I was on vacation and overdrafted my account by $5. When I returned home I found out I had been charged $25 a day for 2 weeks rather than the standard one time $35 fee. Long story short overdrafting my account by $5 resulted in $350 in fine. The branch manager refused to take back the charges. I was more than willing to pay the $35 fee. After refusing to pay my account was closed by the bank and the $350 balance sent to a collection agency. After over 6 months of working my way up the TCF chain I finally got a letter from the president of TCF Bank and the debt was forgiven. I will never do business of any kind with them again.
