Credit Union Family Service Centers in Ann Arbor, MI

I have been visiting this Family Service Credit Union for 1 year and 2 months to deposit my checks from my job. They have been handwritten by my job since February of 2015. I most recently deposited checks on August 20th, 2015. My checks are being held for 7 days. This was something that never happened before. Not a single time have my checks been held even though all of my checks are handwritten. My job had the funds deducted from their bank account but the funds were held on my account personally by the teller at the bank. That same day my car broke down nearly 6 hours later and I didn't have the money to get it fixed. So now I am waiting until this Thursday, August 27, 2015 to pay for my car and all of my bills that have gained late fees because they had to be paid on Friday, August 21, 2015 all because my checks were held. I am really disappointed and my next pay check will be going to a bank and I will be closing my account with my credit union that I have had since I was 16 to avoid this happening again. First time this has happened and it happened at the worse possible time. Never again will I bring my service here.

The service here is good: the tellers are respectful and count out the money well. I go here all the time and feel safe.

Go out of my way. Professional & accurate. I have two credit unions & the are the only shared branch that services them both.

The staff are always very friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Sometimes it gets very busy and there's a long line, but they do keep the line moving.

My main credit union is in another state, so I go to this branch when I'm here. The tellers are friendly and helpful, and they get people through the line quickly without feeling impersonal. Highly recommended.
