Having barely survived (financially and emotionally) an horrific home mortgage experience with Bank of America, between 2000 and 2012, made us distrustful of and hyper-vigilant in this most recent home purchase process. Howard was SO helpful, & SO responsive to our myriad questions and doubts, that we came to feel like he was actually part of our family, sharing our hopes and objectives, regarding our new home purchase process in 2015. There was nothing he offered or promised, that he did not successfully deliver. Since the 2008 home-lending fiasco, lending rules and regulations have changed dramatically, and Howard helped immeasurably by educating and preparing us for the more difficult aspects of the underwriting process. I think its safe to say, given the particularly gnarly credit position B of Am left us with, in the late 2000s, it is probable that we would never have successfully closed on our current home without Howard's focus, patience and dedication to the process. The best reference I can possibly give is that I've already referred a close friend to Howard for their own home purchase, and he's shared the same outstanding service to my friend. Howard Strang was the best part of the process of buying my new home in South Portland, Maine. He was personable, trust worthy, and extremely professional. He made every effort to make me feel comfortable and to assure that I was successful in acquiring the lowest interest rate possible. He was on call "twenty four- seven" for me. He went way beyond the call of duty, answering questions that were more than what is normally required of people in his position. We continue to communicate even though his work with me is finished.
