Lafayette Federal Credit Union in Kensington, MD

This company bought out previous credit union i was using, so i have an account here by default. They do not have cards with chips in them, my account has been compromised twice within 6 months, they do not offer temporary cards when your current card is deactived (for fraud...i would imagine if you lost your card you'd be out of luck as well), you have to wait 7-10 business days for a new card or pay $20 to have the card expedited...its been 3 days and i only have the PIN, still no card...the managers at the call center blow you off if you have an issue (I was told I would receive a call back two days ago because the manager was "busy"...havent heard from him or her), their 24 hr service is a call center located in Arizona where the reps cant do anything for you past 5:30pm except to tell you to call the branch in the morning, and I actually reached a voicemail when calling the branch during normal business hours. Oh, i almost forgot, their online banking (mobile app and website) are frequently down where you cant even check your balance. If these are consistent qualities you like in a credit union, then open up an account here. Oh! And they only have a couple branches located in the most traffic heavy areas in the DMV. Enjoy your traffic-heavy trip to the branch.

Worst customer service in the world. My first time calling and the CSR really made me nervous about having a loan with them. She didn't know the website for the bank, she googled it. Didn't verify my info until halfway into the call. Updated my info and then said ok thank you for calling have a nice day. I said its all set I can now register because the website wasn't allowing me to. She said we'll call you back tomorrow. She couldn't take payment over the phone either, it has to be mailed in or done online and i'm just assuming I can do it online because she never confirmed if I can.
