The person who contacted me by phone a) refused to give his name and b) accused me of lying, etc and c) was further verbally abusive to me. I hung up on him after informing him to contact me in writing. Instead, rather than giving me a chance to set acceptable terms and keep them (which an attorney for the client he said he represented did and which I kept), he put my name into the credit reporting agencies. This was in 2008. I paid the debt in full and IT IS STILL ON MY CREDIT REPORT. I WILL BE REFERRING THIS TO THE MA. ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE.
