IBERIABANK in Thibodaux, LA

About a month ago, I opened a checking account here. I still haven't received the checks for it. I only opened the checking account to support a HELOC I was opening. I opened the HELOC a couple weeks ago, and was told I'd get checks for that. I have not received those checks either. I called the bank to find out where my checks were and spoke to a teller, who did not help--and in fact could not locate the $1,000 we'd put into the checking account. A few minutes later, my husband called and spoke to another unhelpful teller, asked for the manager, got voicemail, and left a message. A few minutes after that, he directly called the VP who had helped us open the HELOC, got voicemail again, and left a message. He left his messages about an hour ago, hasn't heard back, and they close right now. Over our month of dealing with this bank, we have found it difficult to get in touch with anyone at that bank--even in person. I'm not angry, just terribly disappointed. I wanted the checks for the checking account because I need one to do direct deposit from work to their bank. We will probably just close out both accounts. Other bummers: --relatively high fees for checking accounts --not open at all on Saturday, including the drive-thru Upside: Opening the HELOC was pretty easy. Their interest rate beat some others in town.
