Review Chase Bank

They kept trying to divert me to the 1-800 number. All I needed was a new card, should have been a 2-minute phone call with them mailing me a new one. They told me to call 1-800 number again. Lousy service.

Being a client since 2013. Great service. Convenient location.

I went in to this Chase branch to ask why, after having no issues with my account, or even any overdraft fees for several years, Chase had sent me a letter saying they were cancelling my checking account. I signed the sign-in sheet to speak to a manager, which was about two feet away from the branch manager. After me, a young woman signed in. Third, a well-dressed white man in dress clothes came in and signed in. The branch manager asked him personally what he needed, and then, after checking the list, helped him before either myself or the young lady, who could only smile at each other and shake our heads. I don't think this was an intentional discourtesy, just that we were "less visible" to the bankers, and less of a priority. Ultimately, I was told that some department at Chase had run and algorithm identifying "high-risk" customers, and simply eliminated a number of personal and business accounts. I asked what was high risk about having a checking account in good standing, but received no information. The manager I spoke to told me sometimes this was done to "protect" customers, if there could be suspicious activity. I asked how it "protected" me to have my account cancelled suddenly and be given no information, and was given only a shrug. Also rather Orwellian was when I called the bank and asked for an explanation. In the security questions just to prove who I was, they asked me questions about my student loans, a used car I'd purchased from a private party, all kinds of information that seemed odd to be collecting when I have no loans with the bank. I had been a customer for nearly 10 years. I received notification of this cancellation in September, and couldn't help but wonder what if I'd received it during a hurricane or storm event. I might not have even gotten the one letter that served as my only notification, and then been faced with a sudden account closure and a check mailed to a home I can't access?

Tried to open an account to deposit a damage deposit for a rental agreement and the branch manager was extremely difficult. All I needed was a savings account, but she insisted that I needed to to open a specialized account with a business professional. When I called the business professional they told me that all I needed was a savings account. This was a waste of time as I was being redirected in a big circle. I use to work in banking and the account manager was a horrible listener and needs to learn more about her actual banking products before she advises other people what to do with their money. Very poor customer service and not the brightest managers at this branch.

Worst location ever. I just needed an account statement that included my name, account number, and a 3-day transaction history. This is a common request from lenders when trying to buy a house and you're transferring funds. We were told that they no longer provided this service, and we could just print this from our online account. However, you can no longer print a date range statement online that includes name and account number - for some reason this information is not included? Anyway, the manager at this Chase location basically told us that we were sh*t out of luck. When I relayed this information to my lender, they said that they had a borrower with a Chase account do the exact thing the day before - but at a different branch. Basically, I think the workers at this branch just don't care about their customers? I wish I could rate ZERO.
