Words cannot express how appreciative we are to have had the opportunity to work with Matt Ansert and First Fidelity Mortgage. In September of 2016, we started the process of purchasing our first home, through a mortgage company in Frankfort, Kentucky. Needless to say, the experience ruined us on the home buying process. For nearly 5 months, we were given excuse, after excuse, after excuse as to why our file was taking so long to process. We would go weeks at a time where we would not hear from the person working our file, even though we had reached out to him by phone and email repeatedly. We even went as far as contacting the president and vice president of the company, who never responded to us. After countless hours spent on the phone, numerous emails, continuous empty promises, and an unending amount of paperwork that was needed from us to purchase our first home, it was finally going to happen. The closing date was scheduled and we were finally thrilled that we would be new homeowners. However, later in the day, we received a phone call letting us know that the underwriter decided that the file was too complicated and that we would not be closing and their company was not going to proceed with our file. Of course, we were devastated by this and had all but given up hope that this was going to happen, until we spoke with a family member that had recently worked with Matt at First Fidelity Mortgage. She gave me his contact information and we reached out to him on a Friday to explain the situation and he was very understanding and empathetic to our experience with the previous mortgage company and he went ahead and took some information from us and said he would get back to us on Monday. True to his word, we received a call on Monday and not long after we were starting the application process. By Friday of the same week, our file was being sent to underwriting. We were amazed that this process could go so smoothly after the way things were handled at the previous company. Matt did an amazing job and was straight to the point and he was very thorough in the way he handled everything. He made sure that he requested everything he was going to need all at once and we did not have to send numerous emails with more things that were needed for months on end, like I had experienced with the previous mortgage company. Matt did not complicate the process and it made us wish that we had known about him back in September when we started the process. In less than one month of working with Matt and First Fidelity, we can proudly say that we are now first time home owners…again, this was all done in less than one month! Word of mouth can be the best or the worst form of advertisement. We fully intend on praising Matt Ansert and First Fidelity Mortgage to as many people we can. Anyone we run across that is looking to purchase a home or even refinance their current mortgage, we will, without hesitation, recommend Matt and First Fidelity Mortgage. The same cannot be said for the other mortgage company in Frankfort. The experience of buying our first home was changed from something dreadful to something that we will be bragging about for quite some time. FFM highly recommended! Mike Hurt was our mortgage officer...he truly cares about his clients! He worked for over a year in helping us purchase a home. Not only did he put our mortgage in place, he went beyond the call of a mortgage officer by called creditors and getting my credit report corrected. He worked for over 2 months helping me with the government reporting on my credit that was incorrect! He is honest, very kind, knowledgeable and up front about all aspects of the mortgage.
