File spent *three weeks* in underwriting only to come back with a denial that did *NOT* reflect underwriting guidelines that are available to anyone with an Internet connection. Sporadic communication on status and needs to proceed. Led us to believe one outcome (positive) only to deliver another (denial). Did not address true issue from the beginning and wound up costing us +50 points in credit scoring. In particular, this lender required us to close credit card accounts that are now closed without resolved balances that make us ineligible to do anything else. IRRESPONSIBLE LENDING GUIDANCE.
