Bank of America Financial Center in Lawrence, KS

This is not a bad branch. BOA is not the bank of choice if one lives paycheck to paycheck. If you keep a balance they can be trusted to keep your money safe. They have a really good online check paying system. You can also make appointments online to save time when you need personal banking services. I use them for notary services, safety deposit box, occasional cashiers checks. I have found the folks that work there polite, knowledgeable, and friendly. They are limited to bank policies made somewhere far away. If you want very personal service try a locally owned bank or better yet try one of the credit unions. As a cost cutting move they recently closed the drive up service. This is a good bank for those that don't need to borrow money.

Had a good start but....

I've called this BOFA at least a dozen times over the last two days to return their call. Everytime, the automated message says everyone is too busy to answer.

DO NOT BANK HERE. I have had nothing but horrible experiences with this bank. Every few months BoA deactivated my debit card and sent me a new one to protect me against "fraud". Recently I didn't receive my replacement before my card deactivated so I was without debit card usage during my vacation. After calling customer service I was sent another card that I actually received this time. I had trouble activating it on an ATM so I ventured into this branch to get some help. After waiting thru the ridiculous line my teller told me I had to 'activate my card over the phone with customer service'. So I called and reached a man named Carlos. Carlos was great but couldn't believe that I was told to do such a thing. He notified me how big of security risk that was and the fact I was instructed to do such a thing was against BoA policies. I took my happy self to notify the manager of the branch and was told he would 'take care of the issue and notify his employee'. This was the last draw for me so I closed all of my accounts that day and banked local instead.

WORST. BANK. EVER! I've been with Bank of America for over 4 years and they don't appertiate customers AT ALL! Extremely rude, even the managers, and definitely NOT a bank for young people/college students. Ended my account with them today because they are just horrible! But now I'm with US Bank, and they're incredible. #FuckBankOfAmerica
