Union Savings Bank in Greenwood, IN

Very bad experience with getting our loan for our first home purchase with Union Savings. We dealt w/ Sr. Loan Officer Phil Jones and at first we thought he would be great to work with but at the end of the day he provided us with awful service and I would not advise anyone to go through Union Savings Bank and most def. if you do, do not work with Mr. Jones. The day before we were scheduled to close and the day after he e-mails me the instructions to wire $$$ to the title companies account (which I did) he calls me and tells me he needs bank statements that we already provided to him and I told him that we already dropped them off and was freaking out b/c he said we wouldn't be able to close on our loan as we were scheduled to do so the next day at 1PM...he places me on hold and gets back on the phone saying that "someone placed them in a drawer" and the paperwork didn't make it to the underwriter but not to worry b/c he would get it over to the underwriter for immediate review and would "try" to still make the close happen the next day as scheduled...of course he was not able to make that happen and our close would be pushed back another day so he said. At that point I explained to him that we had the move scheduled for that weekend and need the close to happen either Thursday or Friday at the absolute latest...he assures me that would not be an issue at this point. The next morning he doesn't even call me...he chooses to send me an e-mail saying that "at this point in the day"(it was only approx. 11:30 AM) it was not possible to get the close scheduled for Thursday and the selling agent was unable to do Friday and our agent was unable to do Monday so we would have to close Tues....WTF??? Are you kidding me was me immediate reaction so I replied back reminding Phil of our conversation the day before and he tells me to get with my realtor to find out why the selling agent can't do Friday...so I do and my realtor contacts the selling agent and the selling agent tells him the title company is unavailable Friday so there is NO WAY that is happening. At this point I am pretty upset thinking WOW...this was supposed to be Wed. and now they are telling me Tues. and I am also set to go on vacation the next day when I should have had that whole weekend before to move and get settled in so this is a HUGE inconvenience considering I felt as though this was most def. not my fault. So I reply back to Phil letting him know my disappointment and mentioned something about speaking with his supervisor and then he replies back trying to blame me for the delay...LOL. The next thing I know my realtor is calling me saying the close is now able to happen the next day at 4:00 PM...which of course made me happy to hear =) I then reply to Phil...did it have to come to that where I had to mention something about contacting your boss to make that happen??? He replies back exactly this, "That had nothing to do with it. Your realtor is the one that pushed so he's the one to thank. I was happy with Monday. I encourage you to go ahead and make the call." To make a long story short...DO NOT GET YOUR HOME LOAN THROUGH UNION SAVINGS BANK in Greenwood, IN unless you want an insensitive, uncaring, and disrespectful loan officer!
