I got a loan for a car from Dupage Credit Union about 3 months ago. The rates were unbeatable so I would highly recommend going through them if at all possible. One thing to look out for though: I was not informed that the rates are dependent on the loan's percentage of the car's fair value. In my case, my rate is 1.99% for a 3 year note on a $16,000 car. Unfortunately, I was forced to make an unexpected $1,500 deposit when I went to pick up the check because $16,000 was determined (rather arbitrarily in my opinion) to be over 120% of my cars fair market value. The deposit was to lower the loan amount and, in turn, lower the percent of the car's value that was financed. This means that I only financed roughly $14,500 of the purchase, which was not my intention; I would have rather financed the whole thing. If I were to finance the whole thing through Dupage Credit Union, my rate would have jumped to 4.2% It's my understanding that this is standard practice in the industry, so it may not be a surprise to some people, but it was news to me. I feel that Dupage Credit Union could have done a much better job at explaining this to me. A $1,500 surprise is a $1,500 surprise no matter which way you cut it.

This bank is very difficult to work with. The "shared" branch is not convenient and they can never do what I need to be done. I do not recommend this bank unless you live by the branch. I have had personal and business accounts through them and both are a pain.

I was in dire straits and needed to get a loan to buy a car, and DuPage Credit Union came through big time. I was impressed with their service. The employees were exceedingly polite and pleasant to deal with. I was happy with the terms of my loan and the rate I was able to get. Working with DuPage Credit Union made it easier to deal with the hassles of buying a car, and I'm very happy with how it worked out for me. Thanks, Tanya!

Love the credit union so much better than a bank. Helpful staff and there are none of the hidden cost that so many banks have. Normally just used the drive through but always happy with the service.

I'll make this short and sweet. This branch has been fantastic to my wife and me for car/personal loans, customer service, friendliness, etc. ONLY gripe I have is the late lobby opening hours on Wednesdays (which isn't just this branch, it's all three.)
