OneMain Financial in Rock Island, IL

My husband took out a loan from Springleaf to pay an Attorney retainer for child custody case and was not given the due date he wanted to agree with his pay date. So, every time he was 2 days late paying the monthly payment; phone calls would start coming to his cellphone harassing him for payment (even though Springleaf claims to have a 10 day grace period). NOT! Because he cannot take calls at his job, he gave staff my (his wife who is NOT on the loan) phone number to discuss payment. So, I would tell them his pay date & pay online for years before grace period ended so did not need to be harassed with them calling during work hours when payment had ALWAYS been made within 5 days of due date so I told them to stop calling. But, it only got worse when I was home sick & they got so rude & threatened to call my husband & hung up on me so I told the Mgr to stop calling me. We are selling the collateral for loan so we don't have to deal with Springleaf ever again & told them so won't be paying within grace period & late charge is no problem but will pay within 30 days each month...but harassment still continues (and I am not even on the loan). I have been yelled at, talked rude to, threatened to be turned in to credit bureau for only being 14 days past due (not 30 days), and so on. I cannot wait until our collateral is sold so we don't have to deal with Springleaf ever again. ALL THIS TREATMENT IS ILLEGAL.....SO IF YOU HAVE BEEN TREATED THIS WAY ALSO; CONTACT AN ATTORNEY FOR FREE & FILE A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT LIKE WE ARE GOING TO RESEARCH & DO and get your loan for FREE, No-one deserves to be treated like what I have been over the years when I am NOT even on the loan with my husband and have done nothing but cooperate with this rude office. I hate to see how they treat their bad paying customers if they treat the good ones who always pay on-time within 5 days like the way we have been treated. Shame on the Rock Island, IL Springleaf Financial Services Staff. You should be fired for your actions....and you know who you are.

Terrible. If you call ahead (like they say to do if you're needing to make a late payment) they will still send the payment through. And after calling them and the bank and having the "manager" to this loan shark place tell me there is nothing she can do for me at this point, I'm screwed. Don't you love it when there is nothing a manager can do to help you? Isn't that amazing customer service? After I called ahead to make sure this wouldn't happen? It still does and there is not a thing they can do about it. Amazing. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
