Horrible customer service. Treat vets like garbage, and won't make changes to a simple escrow reanalysis even when they're in the wrong! Hope it was worth me refinancing with another company :) BBB will be contacting them too and investigating. Reading their reviews I am sure a ton of auditing needs to be done to this company.

These guys are from the stone age...or at least the 80s when it comes to ease of use. If you are in the business of taking payments shouldn't you make it easy for your customers to pay you? The website for these guys is horrible. It's like they expect you to mail them a physical check every month...who the hell does that anymore?

A Lender Full of Liars! I was working on a Short Sale for my client and we were in negotiations to get a decision. The lender told us that the seller needed to accept their counter of bringing a certain amount of money to the closing or they would close out her file. The seller agreed to give the lender a certain amount of money at closing and then the file went back into review. After 4 weeks of review; the shoddy and deceitful committee came back telling us that the seller needed to agree to both a contribution AND prom note in order to do the short sale. They are now going to be forcing my client into foreclosure due to their lies and deceit! Stay away from them if you can and if you are forced to work with them, DO NOT TRUST THEM! They are only looking out for their best interest. I wish I could not give any stars but I don't have a choice.

Call wait times are ridiculous and their automated information is flat out wrong. I waited 32 minutes trying to find out if my taxes had been paid from my escrow account. The automated system (after 5 minutes of sorting through option after option) told me my account did not include escrow or insurance payments -- which is false. The customer service representative was, however, very nice and helpful. She informed me that my taxes had been paid 2 weeks earlier and apologized for the call volume problem. How can a company stay in business that operates like this. Rates are high, too. I will refinance. If you have the option -- run, don't walk, away from this company.

I'm well known in Chicagoland real estate & construction circles. I know a couple of people who work at Dovenmuehle. With intimate knowledge of this market, I can honestly say; AVOID this toxic organization at all costs! Abysmal is a description, that immediately comes to mind. Criminal, is another. It is owned and staffed by the worst kind of people; incompetent and corrupt. Organizations like this were wholly responsible for the 2008 real estate & construction meltdown (aka: "The Great Recession") . . . . and will trigger the next. Most companies have at least one redeeming quality. Not Dovenmuehle. They are the worst of the worst. There are so many other financing options available to you. Dovenmuehle should NOT be one of them. Avoid them like the plague. I write this review in hopes that Dovenmuehle ceases to victimize customers and/or exist. I've seen too many harmed by their nefarious tactics. Although dismal; this assessment is honest . . . . a quality lacking at Dovenmuehle. I hope it's helpful. Good luck!
