Prairie State Bank & Trust in Griggsville, IL

What used to be a family oriented home town bank has vanished in my eyes and what we are left with is a corporate bank that is so far removed from its customers that it is quite sad. This bank makes choices without consulting the very people who use it in terms of policy, practice and customer service. The local branches such as this one, perry, lewiston, etc are fine but where this bank needs a revamp is in management. The call center is a joke, lazy and the very reason myself among others are shopping around for a more people orientated bank. The fact that I cannot dial the bank branch which only has a staff of 2-3 is comical. My second complaint is with the loan services. I have used this bank for 5 loans in the past since I was 15 years old all have been repaid (early) and no late payments. I decided I wanted a new 4 wheeler and the new loan officer has declined my loan under the assumption that my credit score is too low for him to be comfortable that I can repay the 7,500 I want to borrow. Don't open an account here. We want our small town banks back and this chicago attitude to leave!
