Regions Bank in Champaign, IL

Charging miscellaneous bank fees without telling the customers ahead of time. Really pathetic. I told them that I would be closing my account and they still won't accommodate to their customers' needs. Other banks will do whatever it takes to hold onto their customers but Regions Bank just doesn't care about their customers. Seriously, don't bank here unless you plan to stop by there each month or week to keep up with their changes.

High fees, strange accounting practices. Have tried banking there for 9 months. About to close all my accounts (7) because of questionable accounting. Often the operations center (where they process transactions) makes mistakes. I used to work in the "back office" of a bank, and I know that mistakes happen and keep a close eye on my accounts. Lately the branch has refused to refund a few erroneous charges. I've taken to saving computer screen shots of their mistakes. They have strange rules like "deposits credited if made before 4" (other banks give until 5 pm) and online transfers must be made by 6 pm. It's all electronic. I know fees are a huge profit center (99.9% profit), and don't mind the bank making money, but really $15 to automatically move funds from one account to another (modern version of overdraft protection). My other bank (USAA - for the armed forces) gives you until midnight? I will say that staff is friendly. Too bad the corporate office doesn't give them more control. So much for working with a small town bank to support a local business. I like banks, but will be moving my accounts to a nice credit union.

went to regions to cash a check from one of their account holders.. They attempted to charge me $20.00 to cash a check.. This is unheard of.. That has to be the poorest customer service I have ever seen.. I promptly contacted my customer and she was astounded.. keep up the good work you won't be in business too long!!

I've been banking with Regions for over two years and have never had issues until I moved to Champaign. This branch will take the small task of cashing checks and turn it into a 10-minute ordeal. They'll also mess it up and turn that into a week-long ordeal. I would recommend going to a different branch if you can.

Terrible. Recently when I go through the drive up they up either they ignore me and go on with their work or like this morning, I couldn't use it because everything was turned off and I could send my deposit through. I am wondering if they are going out of business and I should transfer my money to another bank.
