I am currently working for the largest commercial real estate brokerage firm in Hawaii, with an MBA/CCIM and I hold a degree in real estate from NYU. I have bought a number of condos on Oahu and I have truly never been so impressed with a mortgage broker. First, Joe Schmitz and C2 Hawaii have the lowest rates around. My personal banker could not even come close to his low mortgage rates. This was just a plus in comparison to his service. Joe Schmitz provided detailed explanations of every aspect of the loan and all documents I signed. He truly went above and beyond; always looking out for my best interest. The greatest value he brought to the table was his extraordinary experience, which was key in holding together a transaction gone sideways. He communicated closely with all parties to ensure that this challenging transaction closed. He even got the lender to credit me an extra $5000 for a mistake which was made. Joe's and C2's experience and relationships in the Hawaii mortgage industry were my largest asset during the purchase of my new condo at Yacht Harbor Towers. I don't see how this transaction could have closed without his assistance and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to purchase or refinance real estate in Hawaii.

We found C2 after searching online for mortgage companies that could help close on a loan for a condo that had pending litigation involving the HOA after our first mortgage company couldn't do it. I was about to give up on the property and move on but my grilfriend told me to call different companies one of them being C2 because they had an A+ rating with BBB. I was losing hope since other companies said they needed a lot of documentation regarding the litigation before saying they could do the loan but when I spoke to Joe and explained our situation and told him the building name (Queen Emma Gardens) he said they could do the loan. I was happy but also in disbelief. We were escrow with another company for 40 days and on the last day our previous loan officer said the lender could not approve because they couldn't obtain the necessary documents. When Joe said they could do the loan I was hesistant. However, Joe was able to get it done. He and Stephanie the loan processor were in constant contact with me via email or phone to let me know what was needed and where we were at in the process. They were able to get the documents needed to satisfy the lender's condition regarding the litigation and get final loan approval. Joe was great to work with. He's friendly, easy to talk to, returns messages in a timely manner, professional, and patient (I had a lot of questions and I asked often when we would close) I highly recommend working with Joe at C2 especially if you're looking to purchase a property at Queen Emma Gardens!

If you are looking for an honest Loan Officer with the best service and lowest mortgage rates you have found him! I work at a Bank and even with my employee discount the bank wasn't even close to Joe's low rate. He worked hard on my behalf through the process, explaining everything with impeccable detail. As a first time homebuyer it was very reassuring to have someone so experienced and knowledgeable in my corner. I am recommending Joe to all my family and friends for any type of mortgage.
