GTE Financial - Land O' Lakes in Lutz, FL

Very slow Service.. Just had to make a payment and spent 20 mins waiting at the window.

Nice bank with good service.

Gte Financial has now outsourced it's SECURITY AND FRAUD protection services to a company that serves 650 other banks. If there is a fraud issue they will just shut down your account without notice. When you call, you will be transfered, put on hold and even hung up on. This is the SECURITY OF YOUR MONEY people. If they discover a security breach they will take away your access. Once you call them you will be transfed 3 or 4 times, treated rudely, meanwhile, all the accounts that you set up through Online Banking dont get paid either. ( So much for the electric bill), GTE rather put matters of Electronic Fraud and Your Money's Securiy in the hands of an outside entity that doesn't care about you. Take your money and run. One star is too much

They messed up my auto loan... 3 times. Took a toll on my credit score. I guess they are okay with their rates (Only reason I choose them to reopen my account). But I'd only bank here if you stay on top of the employees to make sure they do their job! Wish I could give 0 stars.

I had a similar experience to Keith. I have banked with GTE since I have ever had a bank. My first incident I was in Colorado and they send me thru their outside source of fraud department although I was telling them that I am who I am. They wanted to know exactly what states I was driving back to Florida thru and at the time I did not know. They hassled me for over an hour on my vacation as I tried to buy a few things at GOODWILL. Fast forward to now. I plan on closing my account tonight or tomorrow ( when I get time from work) because you do not have any way of finding out when a credit card bill is due. You have to log into their site to find out a due date and if it is late they hit you with $25 late fee. To get a bill in the mail you need to pay $5 a month. That is just ridiculous in my opinion. Seems like GTE has really gone downhill. Good luck staying in business.
