Charges take 4 - 5 days to post to the account. Because of this, my account accrued two overdraft charges of $50 each. After calling the 800 number, the representative was unwilling to waive the charge ~ even though it was the first time it happened. The same thing happened when I went in to the branch. Even though I was prepared to deposit $1,000 upon resolution of the situation, Fifth Third remained inflexible ~ electing rather to punish me rather than preserve our banking relationship.
