Horrible experience that I can't get out of. Their phone reps are completely dishonest to get you in the door. I can't stress enough, READ CONTRACT BEFORE SIGNING!!!!!! The phone reps will tell you it's a "one time fee of $25" then you make your first payment to them and only two-thirds of the money they deduct from your account actually goes to your creditors. For example my payment is $186 a month yet only $124 goes to my creditors. Non profit agency my butt!! Next lie they will tell you is that "your money will get to your creditors instantly, it's all done through computers". Nope, they deduct from my account on the 28th of every month and it does not get to my creditors until sometime between the 11-13th of month. By that time many creditors assess late fees so your payment is worthless after late fee. Third lie they will tell you "refer a friend and we will give you $100". Not exactly. First your friend has to make three payments before you have a chance at getting your money. That sucks and they don't tell you that but I can live with that. It gets better though. If you don't call every month to see they got your friends payment you don't get put on some magic list and you don't get the $100 at all. Again, they don't tell you that during initial call to set up account. These people are a pyramid scam. Go to a bank and ask a good company that is not sketchy. These people are simply dishonest in every way shape and form.

I signed up with Credit Guard OF America, to help and (ALL) they have done, is hurt me! I asked for help from this company, to help me pay off ALL of my dept. They are so pathetic, that all they could do is get Walmart Credit, to work with them. Now Walmart had be in Default and my credit is being ruined more and more each day! Now this company says that they will release me from their service, but it will take 30 DAYS! So now my credit will become even more ruined! I have NEVER once missed a payment on anything, since I was 18 years old! Now because of this company, my credit is becoming ruined! I dropped them, because they never pay on time. I would end up paying them and then CGOA, would just pay when they feel like it. So the credit companies would still be contacting me for payment! CREDIT GUARD OF AMERICA IS A HORRIBLE COMPANY!!! Please, DO NOT EVEN CALL THEM! They will RUIN you and make things a trillion times worse!!!

Great service. Have had no problems with them. I stick to money order so they can't just take without my permission. They pay my creditors 100%. I wish they could consolidate student loans or auto loans. I recommend this company to everyone I hear has debt problems.
