Small town bank! Can be a bit "slower" than the big guys! Never a waiting line!

Shiesty. Watch for soooooo many hidden fees. If you would like a local bank...don't.

You can only use your bank card in the State of Delaware. My daughter goes to school in Virginia and she can't use her card to get to her money when she is in the state of Virginia. It is not a different country. She has even called them to tell them that she is going to Virginia and still get's to Virginia and CAN"T use her card to get to her money. SHe called them once she was in Virginia and they were suppose to call her back, but never did. Wonder how they would feel if this was their child?? And of course this always happens on the weekend when you CAN"T get anyone to help you.

I had applied for a simple teller position at the Lewes branch and got an interview about a week later. The tellers were very kind and polite and the branch itself had a very nice layout. I was interviewed by the Branch Manager (Sharron I believe her name was), Lead Teller, and I believe the Branch Manager of the Rehoboth branch, all of whom seemed very kind and professional. The BM even offered me a cup of water because I was a little nervous about the interview, which she responded "Oh why, you don't have anything to worry about." I want to say about 95% of the interview went very well, we even took time to talk, joke, and laugh. They asked me general questions, such as: "Why do you think your fit for this position?" "Tell us about yourself." and asked me questions about my individual positions at my previous jobs and why I left them. Again the interview went very well and the three women who interviewed me made me feel very comfortable about the whole process, at first. It wasn't until the last 5 minutes did I feel belittled and offended that made me thankful I didn't get the position. The Lead Teller and Rehoboth manager were professional and sincere throughout the entirety of the interview. The Lewes manager however was the one who made me feel small and hopeless in regard to getting the position. Toward the end she looked at me, then back at her interview questions, then back at me again, and asked "By any chance would you be on any posters at the police office?" It was like a slap in the face and I actually choked on myself at first because I wasn't expecting such a question especially after how well the interview went. Mind you I've never been arrested and don't have as much as a traffic ticket, along with having police officers and firemen in my family. I told her absolutely not and why she would ask me that, she simply responded that it was part of the background process. If it was really part of the background process then she simply could have waited for the background check that i submitted to come back (with clean results.) After I answered her she quickly wrapped up the interview, but not before saying "Well, I appreciate you coming dressed as professionally as you could, you should receive an email by the end of the week with a response in regard to our interview." I want it to be known that I went to this interview dressed the same way as the interview I had with PNC a week later (which I aced) in a button up dress shit and dress pants, all the way down to the tie clip and shiny pointed dress shoes. I left the branch absolutely certain that I did not get the position, and I had to tell myself on the drive home that I wouldn't want to work for someone who had no problem belittling another person all while keeping a perfect smile on their face. I will make it a point to tell anyone who wants to work for this bank and/or even open an account here of my experience. The Branch Manager was very nice at first, I don't know what in the world happened that she would say something as condescending as this, but I will always remember this experience with this bank. I will also warn whoever wants to do any kind of business with them of what kind of people are actually running this institution.
