Bank of the West in Lyons, CO

Not the best service. Like the other review, you constantly have to go the branch. Their IRA transfer service is awful. The first time I tried to transfer a small IRA I had with the bank, I got told the IRA transfer department didn't have my SS number even though the bank has it for IRS, etc.... It wasn't a request on any of their reuqire forms. So how could that be the problem to do a transfer. One my second IRA transfer, I had all the forms from my new credit union account to transfer my Bank of the West IRA and the IRA transfer department refused to transfer my IRA becuase they wanted a non-existant formed that said my credit union would accept the tranfer, all the transfer paperwork the credit union sent, wasn't enough. I ended up having to roll over the IRA instead which has tax implications. I would not recommend Bank of the West they don't make anything easy. My credit union has better service and on-line banking.

this branch keeps getting worse. New management is impersonal and is focused on making money for the bank, not the best interest of customers. FEES!!! go elsewhere. Better service and save money.

Great experience with Jose, kind and had a great sense of urgency for my financial needs. Bank as a company isn't great but the service was very nice.

I don't know what the guy that gave a one star review is talking about. this branch is all about what Lyons is about. The tellers remember my name though I do 98% of my banking online. I don't pay any fees at all. I have used this bank for over 10 years and it is a wonderful experience every time I go there.
