TCF Bank in Littleton, CO

Gang personel working there the staff is very rude and has worse lines than a walmart on christmas :(

I recently opened a business account with TCF -- I've only had great experiences at this particular branch location. THe staff are friendly, happy, and seem to want to take care of you. I recently had a poor experience with another branch, and called this Broadway and Mineral branch for help. Greg, the branch manager at the Broadway and Mineral location, listened, stepped in, and handled the issue quickly and in a very professional manner. By the time I got Greg on the phone, I was unfairly frustrated in my tone of voice and manner, but he stayed patient and calm and solved the problem for me right away. I was very impressed.

Had two checking accounts here for about 15 years. Also had a home equity line of credit loan. When mortgage rates hit 3.25% a couple of years ago, we refinanced our mortgage. As a part of the refinance we were just going to keep the TCF home equity line to go along with our new mortgage. However, TCF held up the entire process because they could not get their end of the paper work done in time. In order to hold on to the great 3.25% rate we had negotiated on our mortgage, we had to change the plan and just pay the TCF home equity line off. UNBELIEVABLY, TCF then charged us an early payoff fee of $400 even though they were the one's who couldn't get their paper work completed! So, at the last moment, just to get the new mortgage closed, and rather than providing us with an apology for their terrible service, we instead had to pay $$ to TCF just to get our refinance closed. Run, don't walk from this bank! It's a joke. I have no idea how they stay in business.
