My wife and I went in on Saturday to be told that we need an appointment to open an account and that they would need to schedule one during the work week, so we requested a time and arranged to meet on our lunch break (both local working professionals, engineer and an architect). The person arranging our appointment sent us the wrong appointment time via email, so we showed up at the time they sent us only to have the guy who arranged the meeting debate what time we were supposed to be there. I don't care if you made the mistake or not, you listen to your customer or potential customer and double check your information before you tell them they are wrong. Additionally, you make up for your mistake by accommodating them without question, you don't ask the customer to reschedule because you want to go to lunch. Don't act like your lunch break is somehow more important than the lunch break the customer gave up to make your appointment. My wife and I walked out and setup an account at Alpine bank without an appointment, immediately got attentive service when we walked in the door, and they were appalled (but glad to take the business) when we said what happened with out appointment at the credit union. I wanted to give them a decent shot, but when you start of a financial relationship with mismanagement, debate with a customer, and unaccommodating atmosphere it does not bode well. We decided to walk out while the teller took his time working out the lunch schedule to "fit" us in. A highly unprofessional outfit, to say the least.

Great service, no line, was out of town on business and they participate in co-op so was able to make my transaction.

The people that work at this credit union are spectacular. I feel like a real human when I walk into the bank, instead of a piece of paper.
