Review Agency of Credit Control Inc

I love being lied to and having my time wasted! I first started dealing with these lovely people about eight years ago because I had a doctor who wouldn't bill medicaid for my blood work. I got served a notice of a judgement and contacted the original doctor who agreed to bill medicaid. Fast forward to now. My husband and I are trying to buy a house. This judgment is still showing up on our credit. I spoke to a gentleman that told me that it had been released and I just needed to come in and get a letter to bring to the court to get it taken care of. I made the long drive in only to hear that only the legal manager could do it and she was not in and they didn't know when she would be in. On top of that I felt that the office staff were very unprofessional and the lady I spoke with was showing much more cleavage that appropriate for a professional environment.

All this company does is LIE. They had me served two days before Christmas and said that if I made a payment that day and started a payment plan they wouldn't take me to court or tack on legal fees. That was a LIE because a few weeks later they went to court, a court hearing I was told wouldn't happen and then they went ahead and tacked on legal fees. They went from taking small payments from me and because I missed one payment they are taken close to half of my paycheck. They are unethical and unmoral. UPDATE! I called into pay my garnishment in full and every time I tried to pay over the phone, they would put me on hold for forever and then tell me their system isn't working. Then I would ask to speak to the legal manager ZINAH BORGIA and they would tell me she was out all day. I paid everything online and had my employer's tax specialist call in to talk to the legal manager to get paperwork started to release the garnishment and would be transferred to her. Turns out she was in, she just made sure to avoid my calls. They tried to keep from taking my payment and wouldn't allow me to make one and wouldn't allow me to speak to the person handling my account regarding paying in full. And now the tax specialist is informing me that the legal manager ZINAH BORGIA is just as awful as I explained to her. She snaps, yells and hangs up on the tax specialist whenever she calls to simply get information regarding the release documents. It's one thing to have a credit agency hold you accountable for a debt you owe, but it's another thing to have them treat you like trash.

As a small business owner, I had no idea how to collect on unpaid service orders and NSF returns. Contractor liens mean nothing to a stubborn landlord. After multiple phone calls, excuses and failed promises of payment, I turned to ACC. In 6 months, I can say I now have 0 outstanding invoices. When a company is contracted to provide a service, that company deserves to be compensated. Agency of Credit Control is there to ensure that small businesses don't get taken advantage of.

Well hate to disagree with some they worked with me right off the bat and saved me from a garnishment of a MUCH larger amount, thank you AOCC for being good to me and my family.

This is easily one of the worst companies I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. In April of 2016, I was sent to collections for old medical bills I never received. In my town, you will not receive mail delivered to a physical address. It must be sent to a PO Box. Other entities were understanding of this error, and I had 7 other collection accounts removed for this reason. When I tried explaining this situation to ACC, Inc., they did not want to hear it, nor would they make an affordable arrangement with me prior to receiving a court summons. When I did show up for my summons, I was led to a room where the legal supervisor, Zinah Borgia, along with a virtually mute attorney and some poor assistant, began to assail me with threats against my future financial health. They do not care about one's present financial circumstances, even if one states the desire to pay the debt. Don't bother attempting to secure a payment arrangement that is affordable to you. They will only take what they want, and refuse to budge. Whatever amount you owe them will be doubled by fees alone. Here is a snapshot of the breakdown they sent me, so you have an idea of what these people can get away with: Principal: $693.50 Collection Fee: $173.37 (the court will reference this amount with the principal) Interest (18%): $219.32 Costs: $143.85 Attorney Fees: $400.00 TOTAL: $1,630.04 You end up paying more than double the amount you originally owed, because they decided to take you to court instead of making arrangements with you. I was forced to make an arrangement that was not affordable to me, and I suffered for months trying to make sure no payments were late or missed. Here we are in February 2017, and I paid off the entire remaining balance of my debt. I asked Zinah Borgia, repeatedly and fervently, to remove the judgment as opposed to filing a Satisfaction of Judgment. It was paid in full, so it really doesn't make a difference to ACC. She refused. I asked her to explain why she would not remove it, and she stated it is "standard civil procedure". I let her know my struggles, and that standard civil procedure always has exceptions, as I operate a Civil Process division of a Sheriff's Office. Zinah still refused to remove the judgment, despite my pleas. It is just as easy for them to file a removal as it is to file a satisfaction of judgment. The only reason she did not do this, I surmise, is because she enjoys ruining people's lives. Because of her refusal to help me, I now have a paid judgment I never should have had in the first place, that will now be shackled to me for the next ten years. It will effect everything I wish to do from this point forward. I won't be able to get a decent mortgage rate. I won't be ale to receive a decent loan rate for a vehicle. This is all because one despicable woman, in one of the most miserable, vile, and selfish professions on Earth, can't see past her own desk and look at the ways in which she is negatively impacting people's lives. I paid my debt, and have 10 years of trashed credit to show for it. Thank you, ACC.
