Closing went pretty smoothly — though a few days later than we hoped.

Our experience with Academy Mortgage was disappointing to say the least I had a 203k loan that Sharon was working on for us. However we experienced multiple delays and the contractor that she suggested proved to be not the most trustworthy of sorts. We got to the point where are the seller give us an ultimatum of switching lenders or he would take our earnest money and go back on the market. We trusted these people should be professional and execute the job that we had given them. Due to the situation they created with their lackadaisical attitude towards our loan the entire experience will end up costing us an additional 2 months rent which will be higher because now we had to switch to a monthly plan out our apartment as well as possibly losing our home.

Working with Sharon Ballinger was amazing. When there was a bump in the road she never gave up, and made the process smoother. She always got back to me in a timely matter, and I could tell that my wife and I were not just another client. She made us feel as though she was with us the whole process.
