Go to Speedy Cash or Advance America. 2 reasons 1) Speedy Cash and Advance America are more likely to give you the maximum amount allowable by law in California (they both gave me $255 and I paid it back ). This Payday Express facility on the other hand will only give you what they feel you deserve (they felt I deserved considerably less even though my job pays me quite well). 2) Speedy Cash and Advance America are willing to work with you if something unforeseen comes up and you need a few extra days. They will give you an extension at no charge. However, if you come into this facility and explain that you need two extra days to get the money, they will not negotiate. They will instead tell you they will deposit your check anyway knowing the funds are not available so that your bank will charge you either a returned check fee or an overdraft fee (either way depending on your bank you will be out of an additional $37). Then once the check is returned this facility will ask you to pay them an additional $15 in addition to the amount owed. Stick to Speedy Cash or Advance America my friends. Besides, Speedy Cash is just down the street (walking distance) and is open later anyway. :) That's where I'll be going from now on.
