My husband and I got our keys to our new condo yesterday, and it was the capstone to an amazing search process that we ridiculously seamless thanks in large part to Dominic and his team. Let's start at the beginning. We met Dominic through a friend and he was extremely upfront about what his process, terms, and expectations were, as well as what we could expect out of the process. Being a skeptical former New Yorker, I took his pitch to be at least 40% smoke and mirrors, but proceeded as it was quite apparent he was answering my e-mails and phone calls in real-time; better than one of the big banks would do. Fast forward to putting our first offer in, and Dominic and team clicked into motion with an agility that surprised me. Within 12 hours, our offer had been accepted and I had dozens of documents to e-sign, and 3 team members from Dom's office making sure I had all of my ducks in a row for a smooth loan funding. Literally 18 days later, (in the midst of the holidays), the loan had funded, with the greatest hiccup being that I needed to consolidate two letters of support. That's literally it. We ended up closing at $35K under list price, with savings on the closing costs, largely because of how quickly and thoroughly the Summit team did their jobs. Now, I'm not sure if it was the timing (about a month after the election), or if it was because they're a boutique lender, or both, but my rate was probably about 0.5-0.75% higher than it would have been at a bigger bank or lender. But the way I factor it out, the money that we saved on the offer, and the time-to-close far outweigh the marginal monthly savings from a lower rate, and one that I could easily get refinanced in the future. Top it all off with the face that Dominic is just a great guy, personable, warm, funny, and genuine. You got yourselves a winner here. I'd recommend him to anyone.
