After months of promises that were not even remotely met, American Credit proved to be a company of people that take advantage of others in debt. After paying $600, nothing happened. I had figure out how to do the credit fixing process myself and dispute/negotiate with the collections agencies. American Credit assumed that I would still pay the remaining $400 and threatened to take me to collections after I called them out on their method of sending out generic letters to the credit bureaus. I asked to speak to Steve on multiple occasions, as he sounds like a reasonable person on the Yelp replies, but he never got back to me. Instead, some guy named John would say he is unavailable. This company is a waste of time and assets. I'm out $600 and now being threatened for collections for not letting American Credit take more from me for not doing anything.

These guys are so great. I used them several years ago when I had a couple of issues with my credit reports and had a short time to get it fixed as I was buying a house. They got it done quickly. Then, 3 years later when I had another issue, they helped me fix it. My score is back up to where it should be.

Don't waste your time and $. They talk a good game but produce NOTHING! They just send a bunch of form letters that get 0 results. To be fair they helped someone else I knew with a different situation, but if you are looking to have your credit repaired because of past late payments because you went though some tough times in the past they will do nothing for you. The reality is in todays world is you just have to learn the system, make those payments on time and let time take care of it. There is no quick fix, and American Credit Repair certainly can't do it! Now again to be fair, this is Not their fault, and my past is my responsibility. But they are like vultures circling above people who are looking for help and they are good sales people who swoop down and pluck your money by saying all the right words at the start (one being a guarantee but still not sure of what) but in the end deliver very little. I had to give them 1 star to Post but if I could give NO STARS I would have
