SESLOC Federal Credit Union in San Luis Obispo, CA

I have banked with SESLOC since 1999 and have always banked with credit unions. I have both personal and business accounts with SESLOC. I agree with the reviews about service, friendliness, and meeting the needs of customers all going downhill, especially in the last two years. They have become completely non-accommodating to customer needs, more bureaucratic and harder to access. I would not be banking with them if it wasn't such a hassle to change all of the insurance companies and businesses I work with to a different bank. I plan on switching to a local bank in the future.

SESLOC has the best service. They consistently go above my expectations. I have been with SESLOC for decades and will *never* use a bank again. Credit unions help everyone equally; banks give preferential treatment to the rich .

Well I took my son (19 yrs old) to get a car loan since my husband and I being a member since the 90s. Even though he and I have excellent credit and have no debt they offered my son ( whom we wanted to co-sign for this loan) a 14.9% loan quote. I was totally taken aback at the under value of our "membership". We went to the dealership and asked them if they could help us with better financing and guess what...we got a loan from Sesloc through the dealership for 6.1%. Now how in the heck is that possible and why did I have to go through the dealership to be treated fairly through my OWN MEMBERSHIP bank? Sesloc needs to take better care of their "members" or they are just another bank. UPDATE: Dear Sesloc replying person to my complaint. If you are set up that way then notify Rancho Grande Motors and your staff internally as well. How dare you reply that way and assume I am not telling you the truth on what happened. That is not justifying what happened to me, it is just damaging your credibility even further by saying what the banking industry does most: Hush the review by acting almighty. How about an apology?

I just got off the phone with them and they pretty much just shrug me off like it was no big deal with the worse customer service ever. I let them know how it made me feel though and how our stomachs are growling right now and our gas tanks are empty all because of one little financial hardship that we needed a break on. So we had a financial hardship, and didn't have gas to drive from Osos to SLO to deposit our check so we could have our money available to get food and gas, so in an act of survival, we did our first mobile deposite. When I called sesloc friday after the mobile deposite, they wouldn't release the funds to us until Monday, it hurt our feelings being that we take our business over there and we live in Los Osos, we live paycheck to paycheck so we mostly drive all the way there to make our deposits because we want to establish credit , we needed one chance, but instead, we ate noodles with parma cheese since friday which sucked, and our money won't be avaliable until 3 today, stomachs growling. We've never had an issue with them before and they couldn't give us that one chance, she said there was nothing she could do, I told her she could be a vessel to her superiors and let them know that every once in awhile sometimes people need a chance.

Really good rates on car loans; service in the new location is now all ironed out!
