My husband and I came to pay our car loan ! We had my two month old daughter with us so my husband took my debit card and went in alone to pay so I could stay in the car with my baby ! First off she wouldn't let him pay with my card even though he had my pin and everything which was whatever so I had to go in ! I gave them my card and Id . The guy comes back saying my card was declined which I knew there was money since I had just checked my account ! He told me that there machine tends to do that a lot and that I could run to the atm and withdraw the money and pay cash so that's what I did , once we got back to pay it was 1:05 they close at 1 they lady saw my husband and told him they were closed and wouldn't let him pay even though it was there damn machine that wasn't working!

Easily the worst experience I have ever had with any financial institution in all my years of banking which began in 1974. It took all my afternoon to open this account, and no matter what user ID, pin, password, passcode I used to access their online banking system, I could not get through. I was asked repeatedly to change my passcode and password, and do not know how much total time it took for me to recognize this system simply does not work. I can only hope to be able to use the money I have on this debit card for a new deposit to open an account in a completely different credit union in a much more user-friendly environment than the one I ensnared myself in with Financial Partners. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CREDIT UNION TO ANYONE WHO VALUES THEIR TIME.

TO ANYONE THINKING OF OPENING AN ACCOUNT HERE: Every 5 star rating is a lie. This bank is the worst I've ever even heard of. Their staff are trained to give you the run-around or something, because they never have any useful info and are always making excuses for the manager. Checks take over a week to process. I use direct deposit, and even though I'm paid on the same days every month, my paychecks go into my account anywhere from 4-9 days later (it literally varies every time, I don't even know how that's possible). Before the merge there was never a problem with SDMFCU (Everything I'm writing about didn't happen back then). The employees and manager are basically useless. If you ask them to send a new card, it takes almost two weeks (I've never heard of a bank using anything slower then UPS overnight to send a new card, esp. in the case of having it stolen). I deposit >4x their deposit threshold monthly, and I have their inane eStatements enabled, but for the last 7 months they've been charging me $10 a month, and I've walked into the office 3 different times now to get this fixed. They've grudgingly refunded me every time, but still haven't fixed it. It's some of the worst customer service I've found anywhere. Also, the last two times I've been down there, the ATM outside didn't work properly, was somehow missing the deposit button on-screen (still confused by that). Why was I making a deposit at their ATM and not inside? No real reason as far as I could tell, besides the teller instructing me repeatedly to. She could not or would not give me an answer when I asked why she couldn't do it, since my card had been swiped inside already and she was looking at my account. Terrible bank. Also, if I wasn't clear enough earlier, I did not pick this s***ty credit union. I was a member of San Diego Medical Federal Credit Union
