Umpqua Bank in Pollock Pines, CA

So, this bank's motto is "The World's Greatest Bank" - I would emphatically disagree! I think they should rename the bank "The World's Crappiest Bank," "The World's Most Inefficient Bank," or "The World's Most Incompetent Bank"! I opened an account - just a basic checking account - and it took an hour and 45 minutes! The staff take notes on their computer about your personal life so they can ask you questions later and appear very personable - "So, how was your kid's first day of school?" "How are things with your dad and mom?" "How did that hernia surgery go?" All I want to do is go in, take care of my banking, and leave...but they won't shut up and get a move on it! Every interaction takes forever and shows a complete lack of respect for my time. It does NOT come across as personable, caring, or community-oriented. It feels like they are trying WAY TOO HARD. In fact, if you ask the staff certain questions, they will repeat the same canned answers that are supposed to come across as caring...but they all say the same thing! Anyway, if you want a professional and efficient experience at a bank, for the love of God, DO NOT go to this bank!
