American First Credit Union in Orange, CA

This Credit Union completely screwed me over. After submitting an application with Alma they approved me for a 35k loan that was good for 60 months so I bought I went and purchased a truck. After everything was said and done they called us and told us that we were not approved even though my credit score is 750 and have a 10k income. They said because I have been with my job for only 3 months they can no longer approve me. Okay so why tell me I'm approved and then call me and say that I'm not. I am very upset and will never got to Americas First Credit Union again in my life. Completely unprofessional.

I was okay with this bank at first. My local union does vacation funds with this bank so I had no choice, but guess what Americans Last Credit Union I can deduct 6% out of my check myself and choose a customer first bank. My biggest issue was that this bank changed to a chip card so I waited for my new card since my old one was going to be expired. The first one never came. So after a few weeks I called in to get another replacement, because how am I to go through my daily life without a debit card, plus the three branches are 30 to 40 minutes away from me. So after a month of not recieving my replacement card, i asked if they can rush me a third card since Ive been without one for over a month. They wanted to charge me $100. This bank should change its name to TRUMP FIRST CREDIT UNION. Only fits their attitudes towards members. This bank does not treat members as first. My recommendation is to find a credit union that cares for their members. Such as Navy Federal, USAA, Teachers CU etc. American First Credit Union is a regular bank hiding under the guise of a credit union. Real credit unions take excellent care of their members because you are part of their branch, not just a client.
