Navy Federal Credit Union - Restricted Access in Monterey, CA

I am a new client at Navy Federal. I opened an account and obtained an auto loan and had the car paid for via wire transfer on the same day. It was very pleasant and effective.

really incompetent people working here who struggle to execute the most basic functions of banking transactions for veterans who are no longer active duty. I highly recommend getting a new bank once you finish your enlistment so you don't have to deal with these twits.

Really disappointed. Although I initially had good experiences I found it worrying that the representative thought you could transfer money from a savings account to a checking account at another bank. I didn't know any better and allowed him to do so. 1 week later I get an email that the transfer didn't go through and after using my entire lunch break I find out that you can't transfer straight from your savings account. A good time to have found this out would have been a week ago...

One of the best customer service experiences I have ever gonethrough! I had to pick up some loan paperwork and was making about an two hour drive to get out there in traffic (closest branch to me) I had called the branch to let them know I would be arriving after business hours and if it would be possible to still get what I needed done. Nancy was more than gracious and accommodating. She stayed almost an hour after closing time to assist me and get together what I needed. She went out of her way to make very stressful time worry free and easy! I highly recommend!

I have experienced wonderful customer service with this branch. They have gone out of their way to assist me with a refinancing and always do what they can to serve. They may not have a large staff and are a small site, but they make up for it in quality. Patience is a virtue.
