Billie Shine makes this company shine. Who answers emails at 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. Billie does. A national radio host Ken Michaels referred us and being a fast growing company they have a few growing pains however the ultra low interest rates makes it worth while in the end. If a national mortgage expert and author of the Mortgage Makeover recommends them its worth giving them a try.

Avoid this company, as there are many better ones out there. We applied for a refinance, were told we were approved, and then all communications stopped. Calls and emails were not returned. Very unprofessional and frustrating experience for us. Our personal information was even sent to a stranger's email address. They seemed like a semi-pro outfit operating out of a basement, and were overwhelmed with the volume of loan requests due to the low rates. All talk and no action. You can do better elsewhere.

Never in my 47 years of buying and selling homes have I had anyone work so hard to get us financed. Steve, Kevin and Luke were professional, friendly, and went to every effort to get our loan funded. Absolutely would recommend you give these folks your business.

Although we were referred by a neighbor, we would NOT recommend Sovereign Lending. While the interest rate may have been lower than other lenders, the process was excruciating, and continued to be even after the loan closed with various urgent requests not appropriately taken care of during the process. We did nothing but respond to Sovereign's every request and urgent (mostly everything was "urgent") demand and the agents pushed and pushed more than they should be allowed to do to any client. The overall process was sloppy and poorly managed. Communication was unclear and sometimes so intense that we were suffocating as clients. Misinformation was provided before and during the processed, and external vendors chosen by the company were completely inadequate (notary, appraiser, etc.). The appraisal had a number of mistakes that weren't even adequately corrected for a $500 fee, and when asked if he could walk us through the countless loan documents that we had to sign, the response was that it wasn't necessary because they were "self-explanatory". We communicated our frustration verbally and in writing on a number of occasions and were either ignored altogether or met with defensiveness instead of understanding. We were told that Sovereign has “great reviews” as a way to unfairly invalidate and diminish our individual experience. This wasn't our first refinance nor was it our first mortgage or home. This experience, however, was surely the worst. We didn't need a lower interest-rate enough to go through all of the aggravation and unfairness that this process was. It caused more anxiety and upset than the team will ever understand or attempt to acknowledge.
