Review Pinal County Federal Credit Union

I wish I had the ability to rate Pinal county federal credit union a negative 5 starts. 14 days ago today, I took my mother into Pinal county federal credit union to open an account. We were told by the branch manager Rebecca, who also set up my moms account that she would have a 14 day hold on the check she was using to open the account because it was a large sum. I understood the reasoning because I had previously worked in banking. My mother explained that she was going to be buying a house and a car and would need to pull out a large amount of money after the 14 day hold was up. She was told by Rebecca that she would need to call ahead to make sure the bank would set the extra money set aside for her and that she should probably pull the money out in the form of a cashiers check because it was dangerous to walk around with such a large amount of cash. Mom called the credit union yesterday and was told that they would not release her money until this Tuesday which is not what they had previously discussed when she went in to open her account. My mom was upset so my aunt who has worked for Wells Fargo for almost 20 years got on the phone with the branch manager yesterday and after some discussion, was told that Pinal county federal credit union would release a certain amount of money to my mom in a cashiers check and some in cash. She went into the branch today and was first told that they would only be releasing a partial amount of what they had discussed on the phone yesterday and then she was told she would not be getting any of her money today at all. My mother went in to the branch today believing that Rebecca and Pinal County Federal credit union would make good on their word and they did not. My mom has been basically homeless for the past five years and has never owned a home. She was supposed to go sign paperwork on her first home today with the money that she was promised by Pinal county federal credit union. I am thoroughly disgusted at the treatment my mom has received. They have no right to hold her money any longer. It has been 14 days, the check has cleared and my mother has every right to her money. What they are doing is not right. I will not only believing this review here but I will be posting it on Google, yelp and any other social media outlet that I possibly can can to warn people not to open an account with Pinal county federal credit union.

Attitude. It is all about the attitude. They just could care less about customer service or retaining their business. PCFCU advised me that someone had stolen my account number and they issued me a new debit card. It has been 13 BUSINESS days - 17 days in all and they still have no clue where my card is. I called again today and was told “you ordered your card on the 9th and it can take up to 10 days”. I said “yes…. And what day is today?, hoping she would understand the point of my call but she didn’t. I had to tell her 9 and 23 is more than 10 business days. They could care less and have no desire to help get me one so I can pay bills. I am taking my 4 accounts elsewhere. Service has been falling for the last 3 years. When I told her that I would be closing my accounts for the declining customer service – I was met with “Ok. Is there anything else you need?”, with a feeling that “I don’t care what you do cuz it doesn’t effect me, and I don’t care where you take your business. At the very least, she could have offered a cold, placating, heartless “I’m sorry” with some attempt to keep me as a customer. And it was for this very reason that I began using Credit Unions as opposed to banks long ago. They are too big and too care – less. This is just another Wells Fargo.

They are friendly, helpful and have always given me excellent service. It's sad to see the negative comments because I have never had that experience.

Terrible! I was approved for an auto loan with them, but they gave me the run around. Still I was patient and understanding of their policies. Yesterday before going out to look around at cars I went into the QV/San Tan Valley branch and spoke with Rebecca to ask a few final questions. I gave her details of the car I was 90% sure I was going to purchase (which was located in Glendale about an hour and fifteen minute drive, which I also informed her of) EVEN GAVE HER THE VIN NUMBER. She told me it shouldn't be a problem, but explain that I would have to drive down there, get a purchase order and bring it back to the branch, then they would give me the funds to bring BACK to Glendale to pick up the car and make the payment. While this was annoying, with all the modern technology available, I was STILL unphased and understanding. Again I had given Rebecca the vehicles VIN, the location of the dealership, and let her know I was very keen on this particular car. TODAY I recieved an email explaining they could not give me the funds for that vehicle because it was not on their "APPROVED DEALERSHIP LIST," a list that I was NOT previously informed of (atleast verbally) although I was one to ask A LOT of questions. VERY dissapointed that she wouldn't have checked to see if the dealership was on the list before letting me drive an hour and 15 minutes.

Wish i could give them -5. They are very vague when you ask questions. I told the lady the vin of the car and everything about it. She said it would be fine that everything looked great! The dealership sent over a pay order that day. And the next day the credit union said that this dealership isnt in there books so unfortunately i couldnt get them to help with the payment. The lady even knew where we were getting it from and didnt say anything about them not being able to do the deal with them. This place is really crappy and if you do go here because its your only option then ask ridiculous questions. Because this place will fool you left and right.
