Tru West Credit Union in Phoenix, AZ

This is not a bank. This is group of idiots with calculators and computers. I had a problem similar to Kraigs, my auto loan was placed into default after it received forced placed insuranse from truwest. Although I'd insured the car with progressive prior to purchase. I had several agents call, fax, and email my proof but they just ignored it and claimed I was uninsured. Now three months later, I'm still fighting with a insurance company no one can even give me a number for. I've been calling the same numbers and getting hung up on and transfer to nowhere all while collections is happy to blow up my phone and curse my voicemail during work hours. I'm on my way to sell the car. And I wish this experience upon no one.

So I tried to change my automatic payment for my truck and I called to have it delete it since I have a new account, they told me the only way they can do it is to charge me 30.00 dollars just to click a button that says delete. What a bunch of crooks. I guarantee you I will never deal with this institution and I will never recommend anybody to bank with them.

This is the most unprofessional bank that I've ever had the displeasure to deal with. I wish that I could give them 0 stars. After starting a joint account with my fiancé, we waited over a month only for the cards to never show up in the mail. We called multiple times during this month and the TruWest employees told us multiple lies. The first time we called, we were told that the cards were sent out on the 8th of October. The second time we called, we were told that they hadn't been sent out until the 20th of October, keep in mind this was already on the 30th of October and we still did not have the cards for our accounts which were opened at the end of September. Finally, they lost 20$ on our account and almost lost all 75$ since it took them almost the whole month to transfer our deposit. We had to file a claim against them with Bank of America in order get our money back. If you like a bank that will fail to get your credit cards delivered within a whole month and lie to you about it multiple times, then TruWest is the bank for you! Also, after telling multiple employees about everything that happened to us NOBODY offered us anything to make up for the situation. Since TruWest doesn't want to offer me anything, I will offer them this bad review so that potential future customers can see the way that they treat their current customers. After a month of being lied to and still not receiving our cards we went in to a Chandler branch to pull out all of our money and we will be canceling our accounts soon. I would not trust this bank with a single penny as they have proven countless times that they are not trustworthy.

They do a hard pull on when opening an new account . Really bad thing to do when others banks just do soft pulls. I regret opening here

Friends of mine are selling their house, the buyer is getting their loan through Tru West. They have experienced, terrible service, no communication from the buyers agent or the loan officer. Now they've missed the closing date after they have moved out and were ready to close on their new home! Thanks to Tru West loan officer who assured that closing would be on time and no issues, everything is delayed! Why in the world would a credit union that can barely do car loans, try to do mortgages?
