I went here for a personal loan while pregnant, with my husband about 2 years ago. We didnt want anything drastic only about $22,000 for a home rennovation. Our credit wasn't perfect, but it wasnt bad either. We sat down with a really nice lady, talked for about 20-30 minutes to go over why we needed the loan, etc... afterwards, i guess her manager was off running the "approval" so we sat there talking and waiting...I saw the manager walk around and caught her out the side of my shaking her head no to our loan officer...and thats when we got the sorry but we cant approve you speech from the loan officer. I was shocked, soooo unprofessional. They didnt even have a good reason for why we were denied, then the loan officer leans in and tells me, "im so sorry i have no control over it, but if I were you I would try somewhere else they just dont like approving people and there is really no reason you should have been denied"... we just nodded and smiled and left. 2 hours later, we got our home loan approved with USAA with no hassle. Fast forward to today, I have a good chunk of money to invest...do you think I am taking that money to wells fargo?...heck no!!!! Never.

I chose WF to have a local bank because it was within easy walking distance of my home. All went relatively well until...we saw a rep. at a local meet and greet. She [JM] was promoting a new account type whereas we could get more interest on our money by adding funds to our existing savings. We told her that we'd consider it. Went in to make that change but JM was not there. Asked another personal banker about it and she was perplexed. Branch manager said it was a promotion several months prior and was only for the first 3 months. We left. Surprise, surprise, we got a letter in the mail thanking us for our new accoujt and asking us to sign a signature card for their files for an account that we never opened nor authorized to open. The personal banker was [JM]. Spoke with the branch manager who also thought it was just an error. Made her cancel it immediately. It was not done so we called Corporate who "got it done" for us. Now I read/hear that it was a prevalent practice though out the banking system. I have not changed banks...just branches. Have never had a problem at the one in Bashas.

Worst experience of my life. I got the run around for almost 2 weeks on my money and a secured credit card. The banker told me we could do a rush on my secured credit card because I was going out of town that following week. She informed me that I would be receiving it that following Monday I waited until that Tuesday almost closing time to call and check on the status. The credit card company stated that they haven't sent it out and would be sending it out that upcoming Friday and I would not be receiving it for 2 weeks. I then asked the gentlemen how long would it take for my money to get back on my card if I were to close out my credit card, he then said 2-3 business days from that Tuesday and we proceeded with closing the account. I then asked the gentlemen to double check the date and he said I would be receiving my money back NO LATER THAN FRIDAY. I waited until Friday which was the day I was leaving out of town and the lady I spoke to said that my money would be returned that upcoming Monday, I had no problem waiting as long as they stuck to their word. Today is Monday and I called to check the status of my money and the first lady I spoke with was in the branch and she told me she could not help me, then told me to call the credit card people and I did so. The next lady I talked to said 80 days exactly and she sounded sure I then told her my situation and she transferred me to someone else who said I would be receiving it Tuesday (tomorrow). Then when I told her to double check she placed me on hold and transferred me to a sweet girl who read me the system verbatim. She then said that it takes 2-3 and up to 60 days to receive my money because there may be fees that are needed to be paid for. I simple stated that I have never used that account and there should be no fees, she was very understanding and helped me out the best she could. I then spoke back to a banker at the branch and she said the only way I can get any money from them would be to take out a loan for the amount and when I tried she simple stated that the minimum would be 3,000 when all I needed was 500. She then told me that unless I wanted to wait for my money to come back I would have to take out a loan of 3,000. They have been giving me the run around for 2 weeks and I have yet to receive my money. I am closing out all accounts I have with them and going back to Chase. They have given me nothing but horrible customer service and do not know what they are talking about.
