I have been banking for 35 plus years with banks and credit unions. This credit union has been the most useless financial institution I have ever used. I relocated to Arizona recently using up my financial reserves. I deposited a large check into my account and was informed that due to the large amount there was a 7 day hold on the check. PCFCU allowed some of the money to be available the "next" day. This was Friday Dec 2nd. On Sunday Dec 4th I took my girlfriend out to eat at a nice restaurant and my debit card was declined! Tried calling PCFCU, but to my amazement they have NO customer support unless during business hours! So here I am sitting in a restaurant with a bill staring at me that I can't pay because I was LIED to! I was assured a specific amount I requested would be available the next day. I wasn't told when depositing MY large check that it was 7 business and some of my money could be available next business day. Even "NEXT BUSINESS DAY" would mean my money would be available on Saturday Dec 3rd however this was not the case. My girlfriend had to pay for the restaurant bill for me, absolutely embarrassing! My girlfriend was with me when I deposited my check and heard the whole conversation between PCFCU and myself, and was appalled to see how as a member of PCFCU was being treated. Since PCFCU is open for business on Saturdays at some locations, Saturday is considered a business day! So.... my check that was deposited on Dec 2nd will not be available to me until Dec 14th! This time frame is absolutely absurd in this day and age of everything being electronic and digital. In my opinion, PCFCU hasn't embraced the new age of doing business and are using carrier pigeons to relay financial transactions. If you have a large check to deposit and will need this money available to you in under 2 weeks, run my friends, don't walk, to a REAL banking institution that has REAL customer service especially AFTER business hours, who WILL NOT hold YOUR money hostage!

Terrible! I was approved for an auto loan with with them, but they gave me the run around. Still I was patient and understanding of their policies. Yesterday before going out to look around at cars I went into the QV/San Tan Valley branch and spoke with Rebecca to ask a few final questions. I gave her details of the car I was 90% sure I was going to purchase (which was located in Glendale about an hour and fifteen minute drive, which I also informed her of) EVEN GAVE HER THE VIN NUMBER. She told me it shouldn't be a problem, but explain that I would have to drive down there, get a purchase order and bring it back to the branch, then they would give me the funds to bring BACK to Glendale to pick up the car and make the payment. While this was annoying, with all the modern technology available, I was STILL unphased and understanding. Again I had given Rebecca the vehicles VIN, the location of the dealership, and let her know I was very keen on this particular car. TODAY I recieved an email explaining they could not give me the funds for that vehicle because it was not on their "APPROVED DEALERSHIP LIST," a list that I was NOT previously informed of (atleast verbally) although I was one to ask A LOT of questions. VERY dissapointed that she wouldn't have checked to see if the dealership was on the list before letting me drive an hour and 15 minutes.
