Worst bank, worst banking manager, worst representatives.... My mom has had an account with US Bank for years. She purchased a new car 2 years ago and, since, has had her monthly loan payments auto deducted the first week of every month for the past 2 years. This week (the last week of June 2016) mom noticed that her car loan for this month has not come out. She calls the car dealership/loan guarantor and is told that it's a banking issue due to the fact that she has auto draft. Well, she calls the bank bank and is told that she will have to do a manual transfer immediately for payment to be sent but she is not informed what happened to the original auto draft that should have come out the first week of June. After going online and doing a manual draft to the car dealership she then calls the bank back and asks if they can walk her through why this occurred so as to not have it happen again. However, 1) the rep is rude and gives her no solution(s) but, in fact, pretty much tells my mom it's her fault this occurred. 2) Tells her that the payment was sent on originally setup to send the first week of June actually got sent but nearly 2.5 weeks later. My mom was furious because she had just called earlier and was told that it wasn't sent. So, at this point she's had two draft from her account for the car dealer (the one that US Bank has just told her was late (which they didn't tell her at first) plus, the one she just manually deducted from her account). Now, at this point, her account is negative. She asks for the supervisor from the rude rep and she first tells my mom no supervisor is available. My mom keeps pressing to speak with a supervisor and the rude rep then tells her that the supervisor will tell her the same thing the rude rep has been saying. Eventually, she let's my mom speak with the supervisor, Rosemary at ext 15024. She tells my mom there's nothing they can do about her account being over and that even if she gets a refund for one of the payments that came out (one which they told her didn't originally get processed, then the other which they told her to go online an pay manually) back into her account from the car dealership, the bank can't even reverse the insufficient funds fee for my mom who has been a loyal US Bank customer for more than 5 years. This was a very rude awakening for my mom (whom I have been telling for years now that my friends who had accounts at US Bank all eventually left due to their deceitfulness and very poor customer relations) but mom was always optimistic and remained. Now, after she's been burned, she's decided to close her accounts and move to a much better and more customer friendly bank. Please, PLEASE, do no open any accounts at US Bank. They claim to be a financial system who puts the customer first but they don't even work as a unit. My mom was told by Rosemary, the manager at the central location, that she'd even have to get in touch with the branch where she opened her account (which was only just down the road) and that they wouldn't even assist her with the overdraft fee. Lo and behold, she called that branch and they dismissed her as well. Very unprofessional bank, very unprofessional people, and very Very poor customer relations.
