BBVA Compass in Dallas, TX

AVOID THEM! The manager Del Wesley (actually just weekend manager) makes up the rules as he goes. He's a real pain and that's the prevalent attitude throughout the rest of the staff here. I had to call his supervisor just to get him to cash a check. The process took a week! He didn't want to accept my signature even though it's the same as both the one they have on file (signature card) and the one in my passport! I have been cashing those exact same checks every week for a year with no problems at my old BBVA branch and now this guy decides it's a big issue. He doesn't really have much authority and isn't too smart and I get the feeling that he worries more about covering his @ss than providing basic services to long-standing customers. He also has a big ego (even bigger than he his) and he lets that get in the way. I used to go to another branch but BBVA has not been too successful and has been forced to cut back. First they cut all the benefits to the "Build-To-Order" account and raised the monthly fee. They're now the highest in town! Then they cut the Saturday hours at many branches and you can see where the trend is headed. My old branch was one that closed on Saturdays (probably a precursor to closing completely) and I was forced to come here. If Del would just do his job I wouldn't have any complaint but he can't even do the basic things well. I pay higher than average monthly fees and I expect them to cash my checks. That's their job. If your expectations are higher than mine, you'll be very disappointed with this branch. Customer service here is much worse than what you'll find at the regular BBVA. I would plan to avoid this place.
