Ben Sissman, Attorney at Law in Memphis, TN

He is extremely rude!!!! He doesn't explain the case/situation to you correctly. Then when you ask questions, he acts like you stupid. He rushes through everything and he even yelled at me on 2 different occasions. When I asked for a copy of items that I filed, he blew then slammed the papers down! I hate that I had paid him my money. Also, his staff is not proffessional at all!!! Use someone else!!!!

I believe every word of the previous reviews. While in the waiting room to see Mr. Sissman, everyone there, could hear him yelling at a client in his office. The client came out looking very embarrassed. I felt empathy for the client and almost walked out. Within a minute of meeting him, I knew I wouldn't use his firm. He was on the phone when I walked in and continued talking for several minutes, as if my time wasn't as valuable as his. After finishing the call, he continued taking his time before even acknowledging me and never apologized for the long wait I had, before my turn to see him. I got from the long phone call I was forced to endure listening to, it seems that he also provides legal services for property management companies, suing renters and evicting them. Seems like a conflict of loyalties to me. You're representing companies that may be one of your creditors listed in your bankruptcy. Hmmm. Rude, unprofessional, obnoxious and disrespectful, are just a few words to describe my opinion of him. The trauma of going through bankruptcy is bad enough, without your attorney berating you, as if you're scum of the earth. He needs to stick to a different area of law. I doubt very much that he would treat a wealthy client in the same regard.

Superb service delivered by an outstanding attorney. Mr. Sissman is professional and efficient. His staff is compassionate and reliable. Simply the best.

My experience with Atty Sissman has been anything but negative. From the moment we walked into his office, we were treated fairly, made to feel at ease about our situation, and by all means was straight up, honest about what to do and how to approach it. Bankruptcy is miserable, but he's made it a very tolerable and took a lot of stress off of myself. I've sent probably half a dozen friends his way with various issues regarding finances and such, and I'll keep on doing it as well. Not one person that I've sent to him has complained.
