Telhio Credit Union - Downtown Branch in Columbus, OH

Do not use this company. There are many better options in Ohio. I used them for an auto loan yesterday. From what I experienced and from what I’ve read (after my poor experience) is that there is a lot they keep from you until you get you credit ran. I gave the associate all the necessary info to make an educated decision if it's necessary to move forward, and/or give me the details of the process. Now that we got that out of the way - there is a $125 fee for processing your loan (fee which other lenders do not charge). But I understood, I was told would be handling all the paperwork/leg work for the tags. BUT NOOOO. After he said that that is part of the reason for the fee, he says I have to register the car since it is an out of state car. Okay, I had no problem with that, I don’t mind doing it all myself – I can figure this out. Now since I'm already immersed in the process there is no turning back, so they refused to waive the fee. Now the fun starts. Keep in mind, I’m the consumer who does not know the Ohio BMV registration process nor loan process. They insist I have to used them to pay for the state taxes to register my car. So I go to the BMV thinking since Telhio DID NOT give me any check or money to take to the BMV they must have some kind of arrangement with BMV. ***NOPE*** I need to take cash to the BMV to pay for the taxes. So now I have to go back to Telhio and get money. That’s my story. Thanks for reading and remember, a wise person always seeks counsel.

Terrible! Every time you turn around they are doing maintenance to the online banking system....for those of us who use the online system for their bill pay options this is a BIG problem! Oh, and the people in the loan dept. need to get up to speed on customer service!

Terrible slow customer service. I had a car stolen 2 months ago and my main insurance paid the majority of the balance in under 30 days then when I turned to telhio to file the gap insurance to cover the balance they are taking their sweet time and telling me that I need to keep paying for the next 1 to two months for a stolen car that I had fully insured. Then on top of that,they didn't count the insurance company payoff as a payment and did not tell me that and dinged my perfect paying history. Telling me that I have to still pay the note. Well,soon as they finish dragging their leg I will be closing my account and go with another bank that cares more about their loyal customers.

Love their approach! Took their 90 day challenge and gave the bank a "test drive." Great service and got a great rate on my car! Thanks Telhio!
