If I could give half a star I would. These people are always rude when you call. They consistently tell me I'm not eligible for certain programs, despite the Department of Education saying that I am. I have, in fact, spoken to another lender and they even asked why I wasn't enrolled in the programs that CFNC said I wasn't eligible for. They need better customer service training as well as training about what loan forgiveness and repayment programs exist. I'm currently trying to get my loans consolidated out of this company and move to a company that has much friendly service and seems to have a wider knowledge base about repayment programs.

They didnt want me to pay my loan off!! Such a mismanaged organization! They also need to employ more people. The hold times are terrible! Geez

How do we switch loan handling companies? I have been on hold on the phone FOREVER. Now finally I google them only to see that the hours listed online say they closed at 5pm. It's now 5:15pm and their phone recording keeps saying they "have not forgotten about me" and to "please continue to hold". WTF? I'll try back tomorrow. Geez.

I have had to contact them a few times over the years. There are long wait times, but support has always been phenomenal. They work with me each time to ensure I have plans that benefit me the most.

We called them to see if they would be willing to write off the rest of a loan if we paid off 90% of the remaining $733 left on a college loan that we have been paying on for almost 10 years due to some new medical bills. Rather than, "Im sorry but we cant do that..." we got "No, we arent bank but we do offer job programs..." from a rude and condescending call center worker. I have a job, a good one. We called expecting some compassion or at the very least a cordial discussion. Not even close.
