Decent company. They'll work with you and keep their payment records straight. Unfortunately, they require pushing to report the account as closed to your credit. They won't charge you more than what you owe, but they only care about the money. They don't care about your credit. I would keep tabs on this company and their reporting if they call you.

I always pay my debts, however I had no idea that a college would send a bill (not even a year old) to collections. Especially when I never even borrowed money from the college. The person I dealt with, we did what I could. I was 20 when I finished paying it off believing they'd close it out and student debts wouldn't affect my credit score. Now my vehicle is due for refinancing and I have a score of 692 and I've been rejected by at least 6 different lenders due to this collection still on my account, even though it's paid in full and has been for 3 years. I am 23 with absolutely no help and I can't even refinance my vehicle because of the collection on my report. I called hoping we could negotiate something now and the first man disconnected me after putting me on hold and the second woman told me they changed the law and cannot remove credit accounts. I was young and they took advantage and didn't help me when I needed it, I owed money, I never declined to pay, never missed a payment, and they still screwed me. I'd give them no stars if I could. Debt collectors can be assholes when trying to get money but I don't see what the deal is with the grudge that they hold after they make theirs.
