Damascus Community Bank in Damascus, MD

DCB is a great community bank. They recently did a loan for someone purchasing one of my listings that had been turned down by other banks. They gave a quick approval and were ready to close in less than 30 days.

The mortgage department is a great resource! We were able to obtain financing for one of our real estate buyers with a portfolio product that worked beautifully! The client checked with no less than 20 other lending institutions, and Damascus Community Bank was the only lender that had a loan product that worked for them. This bank is a great tool to have in your real estate tool box!

I am writing this review with so much appreciation and admiration for the Damascus Bank. I went to the Branch Friday Morning in Mt. Airy (which was closed) so I went to the branch in Damascus at 8:00 AM only to find that they were closed as well and didn't open until 9:00. I had to be in Gaithersburg by 9:00 for work and needed to deposit a check for my sister-in-law. She was in Boston visiting family and forgot to deposit the check before she boarded the plane. If I didn't deposit her check she would have no money while in Boston so of course I am running around frantic. A employee of the Bank by the name of "Melissa" caught me as I was leaving and offered to assist. I explained my situation and Melissa took the liberty to talk to the Branch Manager and deposited the check for me and made it available within 20 minutes. Although this seems like such a small task and not a big deal I assure you it was. I was so grateful as was my sister-in-law for Melissa's help. Amanda Stott and Damascus Community Bank are wonderful. Amanda is always helpful and always has great ideas as to how to make my banking experience better. I don't feel like a darn account number. They know you by name. They are a smaller bank maybe in the scope of number of branches, but they are do everything a BIG bank does, but they do it better, for lower service fees and they have all the products a BIG bank has to offer.
