Review Gulf Coast Bank & Trust Company

I guess it's saying something that I still choose to bank here even though I haven't lived in Louisiana for years. I used to have an office across the street from the 200 St. Charles location and would deposit all my checks in person. I was very happy with how I rarely had to wait in line. Banks always make you wait! But at this location I could usually just walk right in. I've kept them despite moving away, in part because I like how they've never charged me fees. I switched to these guys from Chase because Chase charged me fees when I didn't use my debit card enough. This is part of the reason I've kept them. All the banks around me now like Citibank or Bank of America would require me to keep a certain amount of money in my account or to use my debit card a certain number of times or else they charge me fees. This bank doesn't do that, or at least I've never been charged a fee. A lot of banks also I guess automatically charge you for $100 of checking supplies when you open an account; they didn't do that to me. I am very happy with this bank, to the point that I have kept them despite relocating my business to New York. I hope they keep up the good work.
