Just moved back to CO from NC and one of the 1st things I did was join Westerra - Love Banking Local where it makes the most difference and they offer so much more than a National Bank.

One hold for over 10 minutes twice today before getting a live voice: Just transferred my accounts over to Westerra CU, because the branch is closer to my home than my previous credit union. I had an issue today and needed to speak with a customer service representative twice. I was on hold for 13 minutes for the first call and 9 minutes for the second before I spoke to a live person. I am certain that the call center is outsourced outside of the U.S.A, and I asked the two representatives I spoke with if there was a way to reach my local branch directly and both stated, no. At this time I regret switching over my account to Westerra. I rarely need to speak to someone at my financial institution over the phone, since I utilize the online banking option. However, this poor customer service is unfortunate since I have all of my funds there. I feel incredibly bad for any member that does not use the internet to bank.
