Bought a new Ford from here and with that, I received 6 free synthetic oil changes. Fantastic! After those were up, I started doing it myself. Ive been changing oils on my cars since I was about 13. Sadly, some idiot there in the service department put thread locker on the oil plug. WHO PUTS THREAD LOCKER ON AN OIL PLUG!! The bolt is now almost stripped thanks to the idiot who did it and now the plug won't come out. Not only is there the issue above, but more often than not, they're slow and try to make you spend more money on services you don't need. While the Ford store in motor city did a great job on selling the vehicle to me, this service department does a poor job.

I walked into Phil Long Ford not knowing what to expect as this was my first time buying a new truck and I was a bit nervous. I was met almost immediately by a salesman named Derek and he made me feel right at home! He was extremely knowledgeable and very personable! Not only did he help me stay within my budget but he also got me a very fair price for my trade-in. I love my new truck and I am extremely satisfied with the service that was provided to me. I highly recommend talking to Derek at Phil Long Ford if you are in the market for a new truck!

Darryl Merritt, my salesman, was incredibly helpful over the course of what otherwise would've been a painful order/delivery process. Due to no fault of Phil Long Ford, my 2017 F350 special order was significantly delayed due to Ford factory issues. In the end, however, I was quite happy. Darryl was always good about staying in touch, and post-purchase he has been great about answering any questions I have about the new, high-tech vehicle. Darryl was knowledgeable about the product, and--unlike most salesmen I've work with on vehicles--extremely honest. If he had an answer I didn't like, or if he didn't know something and had to look it up and get back to me, he simply told me as much and followed through timely. Based on Darryl's genuine customer service alone, I can recommend this dealership.

This review is in regards to the service department. I give it a three star rating with some explanation. I brought a 2014 Focus in for the dreaded DCT shudder issues that virtually all '12 - '14 focus' go through. The vehicle was dropped off on a Friday and told the car would be done the next day, Saturday. I called late Saturday afternoon because I had yet to hear word on the status of the vehicle. The car was delayed due to an issue with a vehicle that was in line before mine. No sweat, I know things can get backed up. Waited through Monday, nothing. Called late Tuesday only to be told the car had yet to be assigned to a bay and a day to actually do it. I called Thursday and still nothing. I was reassured it was be done Friday. Thankfully, it was indeed completed the following Friday seven days later. I give my scores like this. 5 Stars for the Customer Service and attitude of the Phil Long staff. So far 5 stars for the actual repair - works great so far. I give 1 star for communication. This service writers are SO busy they really wont call you with periodic updates if your car is delayed a day or two or if parts are on order. You're just kinda left wondering and calling them, over and over. So over all I give the place a 3. I wont mind using the service department, but I wont bring the car until there is actually a bay available for it.

Awesome business to deal with. Daniel in sales was an great salesman to deal with. Showed me a few vehicles before my wife and I made a decision. From the beginning of the process until the end everyone was very helpful and polite. Once it got to financing same process. Sonny was just as good to deal with as Daniel. Thank you to the staff of Phil long chapel hills for a great experience!! Look forward to continue doing business with Phil Long Ford!!
